Hi!

I'm a Mechanical Engineering PhD student from the 🐊 University of Florida.

I work in the Bio/Materials Tribology lab under Dr. Alison Dunn.

Currently, I'm working towards a career in research and hope to join a lab in industry or academia by the end of my degree. My favorite part of the research process is tying together the data and results into a cohesive story to make it accessible to as many people as possible.

In my free time, I enjoy digital painting, website development, and looking at birds.

What I'm Currently Doing

    Developing Corneal Eye Model

    Part of my project involves developing a corneal eye model hydrogel to study the effects of contact lens solution wear on the eye.

    Tribologically testing contact lens solution

    Using the corneal eye model and tribometer to test the tribological effects of contact lens solution on the eye.

    Mounting mucin onto eye model

    Developing the "tear film" on our eye model by mixing up and applying mucin layers.

    Getting familiar with the needle insertion studies through meetings and studying literature to join the team.
